Founded on 21st July 1986, Malaysian Gas Association (MGA) is the nation’s lead advocate for the natural gas industry, playing a prominent role in promoting engagement, discourse and dialogue with key stakeholders to develop a vibrant and sustainable gas industry, fueling Malaysia's socio-economic growth.
It is a non-profit organisation representing 150 corporate members comprising companies serving the entire value chain of the gas industry, covering upstream, midstream and downstream.
On the international front, MGA is a charter member of the International Gas Union (IGU) and the IGU’s Regional Coordinator for Southeast & South Asia. MGA hosted the 25th World Gas Conference (WGC) in 2012, which was attended by more than 5,000 delegates from 90 countries. The IGU represents the global Gas industry with more than 130 members in over 70 countries, covering over 90% of the global Gas market.
